VISION: Coordinate and assist school-age children and youth of Army parents with educational opportunities and information necessary to achieve academic success. To network, educate, and work in partnership with local schools to provide caring adults to enhance the education experience.
GOALS: Five goals direct the School Liaison Officer's efforts;
1. Identify barriers to the academic success of Army family members
(Primary and Secondary education) and develop solutions.
2. Promote parent incolvement by Army parents of school-age children
in their student's education.
3. Develop and coordinate Army Partnerships in Education.
4. Provide Army parents of school-age children the tools they need to
overcome obstacles to education that stem from the military lifestyle.
5. Promote and educate local communities and schools of the needs of
military children.
MISSION: To provide the Commanding General and
Garrison Commander the support and assistance necessary
to coordinate and advise army parents of school-age children
on educational issues/ needs.
