Cycling
Cruiser bikes, mountain bikes, and road bikes are all available to rent at Outdoor Recreation (ODR). Cycling enthusiasts can not only take advantage of regularly scheduled trips but can also learn how to conduct maintenance on their own bicycles during one of our bike maintenance classes. The staff of Outdoor Recreation provides a variety of bicycle maintenance and repair for customers who prefer professional services.

Hiking
Vicenza Outdoor Recreation is dedicated to creating innovative and exciting hiking trips. Hikers can check out day-packs and multi-day packs at the facility. Hiking trips are a major part of Outdoor Recreation's program, but participants can also come into the facility to receive information on self-guided hiking trips.

Pre Alps - Enjoy an escape to the Pre Alps, the mountinous area of the Veneto just before the Dolomites. Hike on your own and then enjoy relaxing in the lush green atmosphere.
Pasubio Tunnels - Visit one of the unique engineering achievements of the Italian Allied forces during World War One. The 52 tunnels of Mt. Pasubio, called the Gallerie, were built and used 1915-18 to provide lateral lines of communication and supply to the Italian V Corps in the Pasubio area.
Monte Baldo - Take the cable car from Malcensine (Lake Garda) up to Monte Baldo. Enjoy a day of hiking among a variety of Italian flora and fauna, along with stunning views of Lake Garda. Trails range from Easy to strenuous hikes.

Paintball
Paintball is a game in which players eliminate opponents by hitting them with pellets containing paint (referred to as a "paintball") usually shot from a carbon dioxide or compressed-gas powered paintball gun (or marker). Games can be also played either indoors or outdoors and take various forms, of which some of the most popular are woodsball, scenario, X-Ball and speedball. Rules for playing paintball vary widely, with most designed to ensure that participants enjoy the sport in a safe environment. The sport requires a significant amount of equipment.

A game of paintball usually involves two opposing teams seeking to eliminate all of the other team's players or to complete some other objective, such as retrieving a flag, eliminating a specific player, or other paintball variations. Depending on the style of paintball played, a paintball game can last from seconds to days.

We offer an exciting paintball program at Caserma Ederle. During the year we host different activities from group outings, unit training, unit games, open play, to tournaments. We are open for limited operations during the winter months, but you may call to schedule a group outing, unit training, or unit game. Contact us at DSN 314-634-7453.
