SUMMER ADVENTURE SENSATION
“A Summer Like Never Before”
Unique among most summer camp programs, Vicenza SAS is offering a variety of Specialty Camps.  Campers create their entire schedule for the summer!  Each week, campers choose between five specialty camps (with forty-five offerings) which last for one week blocks, except for weeks 9-10. Therefore, campers may choose to participate in nine different specialty camps during Summer Adventure Sensation 2008.
Specialty Camps will be offered in the following areas:
                        Creations and Imaginations
                        Playtimes and Pastimes
                        Challenges and Competitions
                        Life Skills and Survival
                        Computers and Technology
 In a typical day, there are five activity periods.

Once a week, campers enjoy a Field Trip Day.

SIGN-UP DATES:
            Children currently enrolled in before and/or after school care: 15-27 May
            Open sign-up: 28 May

SUMMER CAMP ORIENTATION:  June 4 1200-1300 or 1730-1830 at SAS

M-F, School days: 6 - 8 a.m. and 3 - 6 p.m.
M-F, Non-school days: 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Effective August 27, School Age Services (SAS) will move back to its regular and newly renovated facility in Bldg. 308. Hours of operation will be Mon. - Fri. 6 - 8 a.m. (for before school care), 3 - 6 p.m. (after school care), and from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. (when school is not in session)

School Age Services (SAS) provides a safe and caring environment for children between the ages of 6 - 12 years before and after school. It provides the children a place to explore the four services areas: health and fitness; art, leisure, and recreation; life skills and citizenship; and mentoring and support services. Our activities are designed to promote healthy development and to encourage a positive attitude.

School Age Programs offers a variety of guest speakers, educational and cultural field trips, and special events during school closing and half days of school. Vicenza's SASA is nationally accredited through National School Age Care Alliance (NSACA).

Before School Care
The before care program offer the children a safe place to wait until school opens, an opportunity to eat breakfast and to complete unfinished homework.

The program opens at 6 a.m. and runs until the children are walked to Vicenza Elementary at 8:15 a.m.

After School Care
After school, children are provided with a snack and the opportunity to participate in the four service areas, homework assistance, and computer skill enhancement. The children arrive at SAS at 4 p.m. and the program runs until 6 p.m.
